Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Read this first: this is a working draft written to be accurate about what the website actually does technically. Before you go live, have a lawyer confirm the controller details, retention periods and the processor list below — those depend on your legal entity and the tools you end up using.
1. Who we are
The Bulgaria Move ([registered entity name, company number, registered address]) is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@thebulgariamove.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us in the qualification quiz: your first name, email address, optional phone number, preferred language, and your answers about your business — role, sector, profit range, current tax residency and rate, citizenship, timeline, ability to travel, budget and who is relocating with you.
- Booking information: when you schedule a call, the scheduling provider collects your name, email and chosen time slot.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website and campaign parameters (utm_source, gclid, fbclid and similar).
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, special category data (health, political opinions, religion) or identity documents through this website.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To assess your enquiry and prepare your call — pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To contact you about your relocation — your consent, given via the checkbox in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest in operating the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analytics and advertising measurement — only with your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via Cookie preferences.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with providers who process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
- The scheduling provider (e.g. Calendly) — to book and manage your call.
- Our automation and CRM tools — to receive your quiz answers and manage follow-up.
- Google and Meta — analytics and advertising measurement, only if you consent.
- The lawyers and accountants working on your case — only if you become a client, and only what they need.
Some of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
Quiz submissions and contact details: 24 months from your last interaction with us, unless you become a client, in which case we keep them for the duration of the engagement plus the period required by Bulgarian accounting and anti-money-laundering law. Consent records: as long as the consent is valid plus a further period to prove compliance. Analytics data: according to the settings of the platform concerned.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before. Write to hello@thebulgariamove.com — we reply within 30 days.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to submitted data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive documents by email without asking us first.
8. Cookies
Explained separately in our Cookie Policy.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified to you directly where we have your contact details.
